So sorry for the delayed post. As soon as we moved in to our new house, our next three weekends were spent either out of town visiting family, or having family in town visiting us. Needless to say, we haven’t made A LOT of progress since the last update.
But, because I know you all were on the edge of your seat waiting for this, I’ll write a short post about what we’ve been, and will be, working on.
I mentioned a few posts back that I tried to use a product by Rust-Oleum to “refinish” our upstairs bath tub. After a few weeks, my frustration has died down a bit, and the tub isn’t TOO bad. It definitely has some noticable drips, and some little bumps where the epoxy bubbled while drying, but, from a distance, it looks fine. The test will be how long it lasts.

The other project I’m still working on is reupholstering the dining room chairs that came with the house. I am done with four of the six chairs, and will hopefully have the last two finished this weekend. I’m posting before-and-after now, but next week I’ll have all the pictures for the full tutorial. I promise!
Here is my list of things that need to get done in July:
- Fix the stairs and have carpet installed
- Paint and install the downstairs doors – bathroom, coat closet, utility closet, door to basement
- Rehang upstairs doors and get last coat of paint on them
- Finish dining chairs
- Install mirror in full bath upstairs (which requires moving an outlet 😦 )
- Find entry way mirror and hang it
- Upholster antique chairs for family room
- Weed, weed, weed (the outside of the house needs our attention!)
Here’s a pic of Tracy and Bashful enjoying the new house. Thanks again for reading!
